Krista + Jeff: Roaring Camp Railroad Wedding

A vast gathering of family and friends showed up for Krista and Jeff’s happy union at Roaring Camp in Felton, CA and it was a joyful event from beginning to end. The couple shared a first look on the redwood trails, then after some romantic portraits and family photos, they were joined by the rest of their guests to board a steam train that took us deep into the woods for their ceremony in the middle of a tree grove. The setting was so peaceful and secluded, but full of so much life and warmth from the gathering of loved ones around them. The wedding party celebrated in the train’s caboose car all the way back to the reception hall, where Krista and Jeff had their first dance with the added whimsy of a bubble machine, and then proceeded to dance the night away with parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends for hours. I was honored to be let into this giant family for such a happy occasion and hope for so many more years of joy and laughter for this sweet couple!

Nora + Rafael: San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Surrounded by their families and closest friends, Nora and Rafael tied the knot in an intimate ceremony against the backdrop of the regal San Francisco City Hall. They exchanged emotional vows, and had their first kiss as husband and wife to the enthusiastic cheers of their loved ones echoing off the building’s high ceilings. After taking photos with each of their guests, we wandered each floor to find the best spots for romantic portraits. Even with the high volume of weddings and elopements going on at the same time, we never ran out of spots to photograph in or felt rushed and the light was perfect, even in the middle of the day, highlighting the beauty of this special couple. Congrats to these lovely newlyweds, and thank you for letting me be part of your day!

Rachel + Emory: Newport Beach Bridal Session

We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day for Rachel and Emory’s wedding day, perfect for a bridal session at the beach. We found a secluded spot at Newport State Beach with a rocky landscape that gave us the dreamiest, romantic photos. Choosing a secondary location for bridal photos is something I recommend for couples who are not having a reception, or who have a large break of time between their ceremony and reception; since these two had an intimate religious ceremony on one day and a reception at a residence the following day, their occasion was ideal for a bridal session, following their ceremony. And it’s just so special to have that private time together in a beautiful setting on your big day, and not have to rush through it. It was an honor to take these for R & E, and to capture the sweet bond they share!
